This is the post where you can view the application and fill it out. Just a few notes:

1) Your applications will be posted here, in a screened reply. Don't send them to our e-mail or think you'll get priority if you do. We'll laugh and destroy it.
2) If you have questions, please leave them separate from your application and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
3) Generally the mods will get together and review the applications on Mondays and Fridays. Obviously, first come first serve. And we're picky.
4) Make sure you've read all the rules and understand them before you post your app. We also STRONGLY advise you take a gander at the sample applications we have provided for you. If you haven't, we will know. Oh, yes we will.

+ The blue section is for you to fill out only if you are applying for an original character.
+ The red section is for EVERYONE to fill out, hence the title 'All Characters'. It contains further information for your application, so please don't skip it.

Before you apply, please READ the following: a sample Host application and a sample Original Character application. Each of the sample applications include notes that might answer some of your questions, so please do read them before asking any questions.

After Acceptance
If you have been accepted, please make sure you take the following actions:

1) Using your mun journal, please WATCH both the [info]3rdmusicroom and the [info]3rdmusicooc communities. Please do NOT do this before you have been accepted. And please do not FRIEND the mod journal or the community with your mun journals.
2) In your character journal, FRIEND and WATCH all other active character journals, the mod journal ([info]3rdmusic_mod), and the two communities ([info]3rdmusicroom and [info]3rdmusicooc. )

No no, that's quite alright. It's not one of those "just to make sure you read" sort of deals (it is good to know that you dead read it though!)

And the mun-journal is only really for last-ditch contact information. It helps us make sure you're updated on events in the community.

there will be instances when we won't be in the host club itself (in class/halls, outside of school, etc). As far as Nekozawa goes, he would most likely have the same traits as in the anime: just popping up randomly (and everyone putting him through rigorous light training xD)

so it's really up to you :D if you have any more quesetions, you can just keep asking :3

ah, in discussion with the other mod, she thinks it would be okay for you to apply for two OCs if you want :3 so if you want to go back later and make a male character, feel free! We'll be trying to figure out something to do with males in the mean time, because we all felt that a few male OCs would be fun ^_^

well :D for now, totally just go and create a male OC. If we decide that in the long run, we won't be able to figure out how he functions (for now, there are some things he can get involved with etc), then we'll just say he transfered and you can get a girl character xD;;

and as far aaaas the parent thing goes... I think it would depend on the situation :O like if they go to a private place own by Kyouya-senpai's family, then maybe not? I'll have a talk with the other mods for their opinions, but might be a little delayed with the answer :D

If you could please reread the directions, you don't need to fill out the section that says "FOR ORIGINAL CHARACTERS ONLY" if you're applying for a host.

A single strand of blond hair fell over his eyes, as he glared towards the cowering group consisting of Kaoru, Hikaru, and Tamaki. He had only stepped out of the Third Music Room for a minute, to go fetch Bun Bun, who had been mistakenly left in his last class. When he returned with Mori, he noticed that the cake that Haruhi had baked him was half gone. Now, Hunny was usually carefree and easy going, but when it came to either cake or waking him up, he wasn't so understanding. His eyes darted from the the half eaten decadent triple chocolate cake, to the three suspicious looking Host Club members. Mori by his side, he spoke in a unbelievably low and menacing voice, that even Kyoya was surprised to hear. "Who... who ate my CAKE!" Tamaki, Kaoru, and Hikaru looked panicked, and then suddenly all pointed fingers at eachother. Before Hunny was able to attack, he was thankfully stopped my Mori, who whispered something in his ear.

+ Have you participated in RPs before?: Yes, but not a strictly Ouran RP. I have RPed Sabin Rene Figaro from Final Fantasy VI in RP's such as World's Apart, Squenix Uni, and Arcadia RPG. I have also RPed Selphie Tilmitt and Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII at [info]squenix_uni, [info]arcadia_rpg and [info]ville_delumiere. I've never RPed Tamaki before but I would like to give his character a shot.
+ Availability: I work two jobs at the moment that usually eat up most of my free time. I'm usually available in the evenings.
+ Which Character are you applying for?: Tamaki Suoh (or I'm going to try anyway D:!), or if I happen to be rejected, I may consider applying for an original character. :)

+ Sample of writing: Tamaki walked down the beach, parasol in hand to shelter his precious Haruhi from the harmful rays of the sun. He was in a state of mind that could be compared to wedded bliss. He was alone with Haruhi and it felt like a dream come true! Tamaki considered what he could do to win Haruhi over that day. Perhaps he could tickle the ivories for her listening pleasure or impart some pearls of French culture into her commoner mind. Whatever it was, the king of the host club knew that it would impress the girl.

Haruhi began to giggle as she started to skip ahead. Tamaki followed behind her at a leisurely pace, enjoying her carefree company. There was nothing in the world that could make this day any better. The day was clear with nary a cloud in the sky. The water sparkled as the blond hoped that the two of them could go swimming later.

Or at least that was what Tamaki had been dreaming before a rather annoying noise brought him back from his daydreaming. Sprawled out in his bed, Tamaki fished around for his cell phone. Flipping the device open, the picture brought a brief sense of ire to him. “Kaoru, what is it?”

The conversation lasted for a few moments before the phone. A grin played on his face like the music he played on the piano. The excitement was pouring out of his body as he scurried about the room getting prepared to visit his most cherished daughter at her home. He was ready before a maid could come to wake him, rushing out of the house toward the outside.

“Tamaki-sama!” a voice called after him.

“What is it; can’t you see that I’m late to see my daughter?”

“I would suggest against leaving the house without pants on.”

Looking over his shoulder, Tamaki saw his maid. His gaze went down to his lower half and indeed he was not wearing any pants. “Ah, thank you! I’ll get right on that.”

He raced back into his room and pulled on a pair of pants. In a matter of what seemed like seconds, Tamaki was racing out the door of his home toward the car.

Today would be his day!

:D Normally I send out emails, but Yahoo hasn't been too reliable for me as of late, so I thought it would be safer to reply here ;;; Anyways, thanks for sending in an application! We really liked it, and so we're glad to let you join our crazy madness RP!!

Here is what you need to do: you must create your character journal, then request to join both communities. Make sure to friend AND watch both communities and all other player journals (including the mod journal). In addition, please WATCH the community with your mun journal (or your regular journal). This is to ensure that you can keep up-to-date with the community.

The information you provided for us in the application will be placed in the communities user info, and will be updated once we get your new journal name; if you wish for a part to not be revealed, just make sure to tell us and we'll keep that for ourselves. When you get the chance, introduce yourself with a post in the OOC community!

We normally do have chats on Sunday, and there will most likely be one this week. This will be a good time for you to hop right in! (We've gotten several new characters and since we're just coming out of a hiatus, I'm wanting to get them all started around the same time).

Once again, congratulations! We're glad to have you as a part of our community!

First off, I would like to apologize profusely for taking such a long time to reply to this. On top of real life killing the mods and laptops dying on the mods we haven't been able to do as much as we would have liked ;; I would also like to thank you for turning in the time to apply!

However, the biggest problem with this application was that you used other characters to both speak and set up action in your writing sample. We frown upon using other characters in your applications, and ask that you try to just stick to the character you're applying as when writing the sample. This includes lines of speech AND action (even if it is a reference to the past).

Again, I apologize for the delay. However, feel free to redo the writing sample if you wish! (I promise next time there won't be such a delay) ;;
